US 12 is a very busy trunk-line running across the Southern part of Michigan and has a great deal of traffic. Speed limits in the area are 55 in most places. Please be careful if you are driving or shopping in this area, especially over the next few days.
If you are shopping, please park as far off of the roadway as possible and please try to park on the side of the road you will be shopping to avoid having to cross US 12. When turning around, please avoid doing U-turns on US 12 as they can be very dangerous. Please go up to the next street to turn around and always keep close watch for pedestrians. When walking along US 12, be very mindful of traffic going by and stay clear of the fogline (white line along edge of roadway).
If you head out to find some bargains, please be very careful. This is a great community event and we would love to see you out there!
